What is Blind Spot Monitoring?
Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) uses radar sensors typically located in the rear bumper or side mirrors to detect vehicles in your blind spots. When a vehicle is detected, a warning light illuminates in the side mirror.
Many systems also include Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), which warns of approaching vehicles when backing out of parking spaces.
Important: BSM sensors must be precisely aimed to accurately detect vehicles at the correct distance and angle.
